Embrace Equity: Be the Change

Celebrating IWD with C3 Leadership and O Strategies at the Unconference 2023

The theme for this year's International Women's Day or Women's History Month is "Embrace Equity." It calls for promoting equality and fairness for all women regardless of their background. The theme also reminds us that every individual counts. Women have historically faced systemic barriers and discrimination, which is why Women's History Month is significant. It's a time to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of women throughout history, while also recognizing the work that must still be done to achieve gender equality.

The phrase "everyone counts" is particularly relevant for women, who have often been excluded or marginalized. It's a call to action for individuals and institutions to actively work towards creating equal opportunities and representation for women.

In the workplace, women continue to face challenges such as the gender pay gap, lack of promotion opportunities, and discrimination. By recognizing the value that women of diverse backgrounds bring and actively working towards creating a more inclusive and equitable workplace culture, we can help ensure that everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

In our personal lives, we can uplift and support the women around us. Every action, no matter how small, can help create a ripple effect of positive change.

As we wrap up the first quarter of the year, let's take the lead in driving change by being more intentional and consistent in our quest for equity. Let's not forget that women matter, and their voices and contributions are essential for creating a more just and equitable world.
